About us
Made by tarot enthusiasts
tarot4.com is an independent tarot encyclopedia built by a small group of tarot enthusiasts. We started it because we wanted one place where every card, spread and combination is explained clearly, can be looked up in seconds, and can be learned properly — with the basics free for everyone.
Who we are
We are not a big publisher or a psychic hotline. We are people who read the cards for ourselves and for friends, and who love the symbolism, history and craft of tarot. tarot4.com is a passion project that we build and keep improving in our own time.
What we enjoy most is helping people go from “what does this card mean?” to reading a whole spread with confidence. That is why our free courses are at the heart of the site.

How we create our content
Our card meanings follow the Rider–Waite–Smith tradition, the most widely used tarot system today. Some of our reference content — such as card combination readings and the answers given by Tarot AI — is produced with the help of AI tools that are built on those traditional meanings.
We keep reviewing and improving what we publish. If you spot a mistake or something that does not ring true, please let us know — corrections from readers make the encyclopedia better for everyone.
Our approach to tarot
We see tarot as a tool for reflection and self-discovery, not a way to predict a fixed future. Everything on tarot4.com is for entertainment and personal reflection and is never a substitute for medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. You can read more in our disclaimer.
