What to Write
You don't need elaborate entries. A useful journal entry contains:
- Date
- Question or intention
- Cards drawn (positions if applicable)
- First impressions — before looking anything up
- Interpretation — what you believe the cards mean in context
- How it unfolded — added later, once you see how the reading played out
That last field — how it unfolded — is optional but invaluable. Coming back to add it creates a feedback loop that rapidly develops your accuracy and confidence.
