Asking Good Questions
The quality of your tarot reading depends heavily on the quality of your question. Vague questions get vague answers. Disempowering questions get disempowering answers.
Avoid Yes/No Questions
Tarot is a tool for insight, not a fortune-telling machine. Instead of "Will I get the job?" ask "What energy should I bring to my job search?" The first question makes you passive. The second makes you active.
Open-Ended Questions Work Best
- ✗ "Does he love me?" → ✓ "What is the true nature of this relationship?"
- ✗ "Should I move?" → ✓ "What do I need to know about this potential move?"
- ✗ "Will I be rich?" → ✓ "What is blocking my financial growth right now?"
Focus on Yourself
Tarot works best when you ask about your own thoughts, feelings, and actions — not other people's. You can't control others. You can only understand yourself better.
The Best Question Formula
"What do I need to know/understand/focus on regarding [situation]?"
This keeps the reading empowering, open, and focused on insight rather than prediction.
