How Positions Work

In a spread, each card position has a defined meaning — and that position filters how you interpret the card. The same card can mean completely different things depending on where it lands.

The Five of Swords in a "current situation" position suggests ongoing conflict. In a "past" position, it suggests a conflict that has shaped you. In an "advice" position, it suggests you may need to choose your battles.

The Golden Rule

Position meaning + card meaning = your interpretation. Never read the card in isolation from its position.
