The Fool's Journey

The 22 Major Arcana cards tell a story — the journey of The Fool (card 0) through every major life experience until reaching wholeness at The World (card 21). This narrative is called The Fool's Journey.

Understanding this journey transforms the Major Arcana from 22 separate cards into a coherent map of human experience. Every archetype The Fool meets represents a force, lesson, or stage we all encounter.

Three Acts

• Act 1 (Cards 1–7) — The outer world. Learning to navigate society, relationships, and material life.
• Act 2 (Cards 8–14) — The inner world. Confronting the self, shadow, and deeper truths.
