Reading for Others
Reading for other people is a profound responsibility. Here's how to do it well:
Before the Reading
- Set clear intentions — you're here to help, not impress
- Ask what they want from the reading — clarity? validation? direction?
- Agree on the question together
During the Reading
- Describe what you see before interpreting — let them participate
- Ask clarifying questions: "Does this resonate with something?"
- Speak in possibilities, not certainties
After the Reading
- Leave them with agency — what can they do with this information?
- Don't extend the session to cover every possible angle
- Suggest journaling or reflection
