Card Combinations

Advanced readers don't just read individual cards — they read the conversation between cards. When two or more cards appear together, they create a meaning that neither holds alone.

Adjacent Card Method

Look at any two adjacent cards in your spread. Read them as a two-part message: the first card is the situation or force, the second is the response or outcome.

Classic Combinations

  • The Tower + The Star — Destruction followed by hope; a necessary breakdown leading to renewal
  • Two of Cups + The Lovers — A deep, significant romantic connection
  • Eight of Pentacles + The Magician — Mastery through deliberate practice; building a skill set
  • Three of Swords + Six of Swords — Moving through heartbreak; grief that leads to calmer waters
